Vinyasa Krama Yoga
Liz has studied with a wide range of teachers and now continues to further her studies in yoga and ayurveda.
This is a mixed ability class suitable for beginners and experienced using the sequences of Vinyasa Krama yoga in the Krishnamacharya tradition. Physical movements and postures with the breath, separate breathing practices and meditation. This is an ancient and authentic lineage, as unchanged as possible from Krishnamacharya. Linking throat (or ujjayi) breath with the physical aspect has innumerable benefits acting as a guide whether you need to rest or not. 'Krama' means 'step', so there is always an option to practice at an easier level and take the next step when you are ready. Similarly you can practice a stronger position if you are at ease in the previous one. |
The breathing practices can help with calming the mind, anxiety, physical health, emotions and more. The aim of each class is a feeling of peace and stillness, a great tool to take away into everyday life!
