The group classes of the Feldenkrais Method are called Awareness Through Movement (ATM). The ATM classes will remind you how good it feels to be in your body.
Here improvement happens, by doing less. It is hard to believe, but it is true! :) You will be able to take your time to feel the way you are, move and organise yourself.
We all have our own habitual ways of moving and expressing ourselves.
Built up stress, whether it's physical, emotional or mental, is stored in our body. To release excess stress and create lasting change, we need to first become aware of it. Only then, we can make a choice to try something else and a find better options.

Some of the many benefits:
What happens in the class?
You will be verbally guided through exploratory movement lessons. Most of the lessons are done lying on the floor in various positions or sometimes in sitting or standing. The movements are mostly slow and small, to give you time to notice and refine the quality of movements. When you turn your attention to sense and listen to what feels comfortable and pleasant, you can begin to change the effort, bring more ease and connection. As much as it is important to let go of unnecessary tensions, equally important is to find support and dynamic strength. A huge variety and richness of the lessons brings continuous learning in all these aspects.
About Me
I found the Feldenkrais Method when dealing with a stubborn lower back problem that interfered with my busy practice as a bodyworker. There was a profound and unique quality of the class that made a huge and fast improvement and led me to join the four-year teacher training. As a full time bodyworker since 2008 I learned about the various injuries and unique patterns of tensions people are dealing with. The somatic learning of movement has expanded my understanding of wellbeing and recovery.
Aware that each individual is shaped by life's experiences, it is my priority to hold a safe and welcoming space, where the participants can listen to themselves. I am passionate about utilising the body-mind unity to continuously grow, learn and better our abilities to respond to life’s unpredictable nature.
I work with adults and children with all ages and abilities. I am currently at the tail end of a training specialising in working with children with special needs, developmental delays and challenges.
- Reduce pain and stress;
- Recover from injury;
- Increase body awareness;
- Improve your posture and movement;
- Free your breathing;
- Find ease and the feeling of relaxation.
