Sacred Song | Ian Hague
An evening of unaccompanied harmony singing from many sacred traditions. We often journey through Iona, Taize, South African church music, Harmonic Temple, Gospel, Maori, Hebrew, Native American and beyond. The thread that joins the songs and chants is that each has a sense of sacredness in itself and together they weave an evening of prayer, praise and contemplation.
Led by Natural Voice Network teacher Ian Hague, there’s no sheet music and occasional word sheets for songs in less familiar languages. The emphasis is on the magic we can create when we join together in harmony, enhanced by candlelight, a log stove and the special energy of the Angel Hall. All are welcome as regularly or infrequently as suits them. |
